My body
Naming the parts of the body, and how they work: from knees and elbows (Head to Toe) to the heart's atria and ventricles (the What Makes Me tours). Little Roos has 13 free games, tours and things to make that practise it, for ages 3-8.
Where it fits
In the Early Years Learning Framework V2.0 (birth to five) and the Australian Curriculum v9 (Foundation to Year 2), with the official wording:
- AC9S1U01 (Australian Curriculum v9: Science, Year 1): identify the basic needs of plants and animals, including air, water, food or shelter, and describe how the places they live meet those needs.
- AC9HPFM03 (Australian Curriculum v9: Health and Physical Education, Foundation): participate in a range of activities in natural and outdoor settings and explore the benefits of being physically active.

Away from the screen
About two minutes each, with things most homes have.
Simon says, body parts (from Head to Toe, Tassie Devil)
- Play Simon says, one body part at a time: "Simon says touch your elbow."
- Swap: your child is Simon and you touch the parts.
- Add a tricky one now and then: "Simon says touch your chin with your knee!"
Things to ask while they play
- Can you show me that part on you?
- What does that part help you do?
