Dugong Remembers
Remembering things in order: watch and listen, then do it back · ages 3-6
1. Warm-up, 5 minutes
What's in the bag? Show three objects in order, hide them, and ask the class to name them back in order.
2. The game, on the projector
Everyone says the names along with the dugong, then a helper taps them back. Add a friend when it gets easy.
Projector mode is the game with ?projector on the end of its address. It's big and landscape, a win waits for you to press Next, and nothing is saved on the computer: no progress, no animal cards, no login.
3. Away from the screen
Memory lines in pairs: one child lines up three objects, the other looks, turns away, then puts them back in order.
Questions to ask
- Which one came first?
- What came after the octopus?
- How did you remember them? (Saying them, or where they were?)
