Wallaby Hops to 20
Numbers to 20 on a number line, and counting on: where will Wallaby land? · ages 4-7
1. Warm-up, 5 minutes
Human number line: children stand in a row holding numbers 0 to 10, and one hops along it, counting on.
2. The game, on the projector
Children call out where Wallaby will land before a helper taps it; then count the hops together as she goes.
Projector mode is the game with ?projector on the end of its address. It's big and landscape, a win waits for you to press Next, and nothing is saved on the computer: no progress, no animal cards, no login.
3. Away from the screen
Draw a number line to 20 and colour the hops for three questions.
Questions to ask
- Wallaby is on 6 and hops 3. Where will she land?
