Platypus Feels
Reading feelings in faces and in moments: happy and sad, calm and angry, excited and tired, scared and cosy · ages 3-6
1. Warm-up, 5 minutes
Feelings statues: children move to music, and when it stops they freeze with the feeling face you call out.
2. The game, on the projector
Play on the board: children show the face with their own faces first, then a helper taps it. Talk about a time each feeling happened.
Projector mode is the game with ?projector on the end of its address. It's big and landscape, a win waits for you to press Next, and nothing is saved on the computer: no progress, no animal cards, no login.
3. Away from the screen
Read one of the Feelings and friends stories together and stop at the choice: let the class vote, then try the other path too.
Questions to ask
