Hold It, Quoll!
Stopping yourself: tap the quolls that are awake, and let the sleepy ones sleep · ages 3-7
1. Warm-up, 5 minutes
Statues: dance while the music plays and freeze when it stops. Anyone who moves just starts again.
2. The game, on the projector
The whole class claps once for an awake quoll and stays silent for a sleepy one, while a helper taps.
Projector mode is the game with ?projector on the end of its address. It's big and landscape, a win waits for you to press Next, and nothing is saved on the computer: no progress, no animal cards, no login.
3. Away from the screen
Simon says, with a twist: only move when the quoll says so.
Questions to ask
- How do you know this quoll is asleep?
- What helps you wait?
- How did it feel to hold still?
