Follow the Numbat
Writing lower-case letters in NSW Foundation Style: where to start, which way to go, when to lift · ages 4-7
1. Warm-up, 5 minutes
Sky-write the day's letter with big arm movements, saying where it starts and which way it goes.
2. The game, on the projector
The class air-writes each stroke with the numbat while one child traces it on the board. Use Watch first.
Projector mode is the game with ?projector on the end of its address. It's big and landscape, a win waits for you to press Next, and nothing is saved on the computer: no progress, no animal cards, no login.
3. Away from the screen
Rainbow writing: each child traces the letter on the game's sheet in three different colours, NSW Foundation Style.
Questions to ask
