Count on Me
Reading a number and putting it where it belongs · ages 3-6
1. Warm-up, 5 minutes
Hold up fingers and have the class call out how many, then show the numeral card for it. Go up to 10, then mix them up.
2. The game, on the projector
Children take turns to drag a number to its patch, and the class says the number out loud before it's placed.
Projector mode is the game with ?projector on the end of its address. It's big and landscape, a win waits for you to press Next, and nothing is saved on the computer: no progress, no animal cards, no login.
3. Away from the screen
Number pegs: in small groups, peg the right number of pegs onto a card showing a numeral from 1 to 10.
