The Big Summer Scene
Counting out a number of things, and where they go: in, on, up · ages 3-5
1. Warm-up, 5 minutes
Count out loud together while one child drops that many blocks into a box.
2. The game, on the projector
The class counts each animal as a helper places it: "One, two, three!" Ask where it went: in, on or up.
Projector mode is the game with ?projector on the end of its address. It's big and landscape, a win waits for you to press Next, and nothing is saved on the computer: no progress, no animal cards, no login.
3. Away from the screen
Bath-time counting with a tub of water and bath toys: "Put four in the water!"
Questions to ask
- How many are in the water now?
- If one more climbs the tree, how many will be up there?
- Where is your favourite animal: in, on or up?
