Day and night
Why we have day and night: the Earth turns, and goes round the Sun. A Year 2 outcome, so a gentle early start. Little Roos has 1 free thing to play that practise it.
Where it fits
In the Early Years Learning Framework V2.0 (birth to five) and the Australian Curriculum v9 (Foundation to Year 2), with the official wording:
- AC9S2U01 (Australian Curriculum v9: Science, Year 2): recognise Earth is a planet in the solar system and identify patterns in the changing position of the sun, moon, planets and stars in the sky.
Games that practise it
- Day and Night: Something to make.
