Where it fits
In the Early Years Learning Framework V2.0 (birth to five) and the Australian Curriculum v9 (Foundation to Year 2), with the official wording:
- AC9MFN03 (Australian Curriculum v9: Mathematics, Foundation): quantify and compare collections to at least 20 using counting and explain or demonstrate reasoning.
- AC9M1N01 (Australian Curriculum v9: Mathematics, Year 1): recognise, represent and order numbers to at least 120 using physical and virtual materials, numerals, number lines and charts.

- Say a number between 1 and 10.
- Your child says whether it's bigger or smaller than 5, and shows it with a big stretch or a small crouch.
- Swap: they say a number, you stretch or crouch.
