Games that teach children to take turns
Kookaburra Takes Turns is a memory game for two on one device: turn over two cards, then it's the other player's turn, pair or not. Every other Little Roos game has a Play together card with one way to take turns on one device.
Key facts
- Taking turns is part of AC9HPFP02 in the curriculum: practise personal and social skills to interact respectfully with others. (Australian Curriculum v9: Health and Physical Education, Foundation)
- Kookaburra Takes Turns can be played with a grown-up or against Kookaburra, who plays its own turns. (Kookaburra Takes Turns)
Play together cards
On every game's first screen, Play together opens a card for the grown-up: things to say or ask while playing, and one way to take turns on one device. The same card is on every game's page.
Away from the screen
Play a game with a grown-up and say "Your turn!" each time: snap, a puzzle, a block tower one block each.
